Darrell Hill: Founder and CEO of Eternity Gardens
Darrell Hill is the Founder+CEO of EternityGardens.com. After spending two decades as a marketing and brand strategy professional, Darrell launched EternityGardens.com in 2016. EternityGardens.com is a technology platform that engages and educates cremation families and connects them to cemeteries and service providers where they may lay to rest cremated remains. The new venture also works with select locations and municipalities to develop, build, and operate cremation gardens. EternityGardens.com is a University of Chicago Polsky Incubator company. Darrell’s marketing and branding career spans two decades in healthcare, financial services, and strategy consulting. In those roles, he has built and launched the marketing and branding platform for the nation’s 3rd largest public health system; lead the development and execution of the marketing and brand strategy to support the global expansion of an investment bank; and advised several category-leading companies in the development of revenue-generating brand strategies.
Darrell earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree magna cum laude from Howard University, where he was a Phi Beta Kappa inductee. In addition, he spent time studying abroad at the London School of Economics & Political Science and at the London Business School.
An active leader in his Chicagoland community, Darrell serves as a board member with the Advocate Charitable Foundation, Chicago Jesuit Academy, and The English-Speaking Union of the United States.
Darrell enjoys golf, biking, and traveling with his wife, Anisha McFarland-Hill. They have three children and live in Chicago.
